Adoption Tips

Welcoming a new cat or dog into your home is a rewarding and life-enriching experience. However, there are some measures you can take to make the transition for both you and your pet a happier, safer, and healthier one. Find out more...

IS YOUR PET SPAYED OR NEUTERED?

Spay or Neuter your pets. It's the single most important thing you can do to stop animal abuse, stop animal cruelty, stop warm blooded loving creatures from overproducing. It's simple and can be inexpensive. Do your part, find out more...

Make sure you are protecting your pooch against heartworm

We are well into summer and the mosquitos are plenty. This is a real danger to your dog (and cat also). If you haven't already, have your dog tested for heartworm. It is a simple blood test and it will tell you whether your dog is affected or not. If he or she is, there is a treatment available to rid them of those nasty worms. If your dog is negative for heartworm, then he or she can be put on a regularly scheduled dose of heartworm preventative. It is best to go the prevention route if you can as the cost of treating heartworm once your dog has it is quite high. Protect Fido. Call your vet today and schedule a test for heartworm.
