PREVIOUS EVENTS 2007

D. A. Lodge, W. 3rd and Utica Sts., Oswego
This year's gala, despite the weather, was a great success. Many local businesses donated very generously to our auction. Our supporters braved the sleet and snow and came out to support OCAWL-SPCA's gala, including our bake sale, silent auction and of course, our live auction. We would like to thank the D.A. Lodge, our supporters and especially our volunteers for making this gala a great one.
D.A. Lodge, W. 3rd and Utica Sts., Oswego
Many people stopped and found a treasure they didn't even know they needed. Thanks to all who came out in support of OCAWL-SPCA. The day was a great success.
Tractor Supply, Oswego
We had a wonderfully successful day! Five kittens were adopted! Thank you to all who came out to see our adoptable kitties and puppies. We appreciated your support.
The weather was more than cooperative for our Dog Walk-a-Thon and picnic. Thank you to our volunteers, supporters and the dogs for coming out and having a great day with us at Breitbeck Park.
We had a beautiful day and many people stopped by to see some of our adoptable cats and dogs. One dog found its way to his new home with his new family. That's a successful day in our book. Good luck, Mickey! Thank you to Tractor Supply for allowing us to set up there and for having great employees that are so very helpful.

There were over 80 people in attendance at our celebratory banquet. It was great to see our past and present board members, volunteers and supporters come out and celebrate OCAWL being in existence for over 35 years. Lisa Chelenza gave a moving speech, which brought tears to our eyes, especially the last story. Thank you, Lisa, for coming out and helping us celebrate. It was a wonderful evening.
We had a great turnout and many people found items that they didn't even know they needed! Thank you all that came out, shopped and supported a great cause.
We'd like to thank all that came out and supported us and the CNY Cat Coalition at this event. Some great people were able to go home with some wonderful new furry friends. That's what it's all about.
Also we'd like to thank all of those who ate a great meal at Chicago Grill/UNO and supported OCAWL-SPCA at the same time.

We had a great turnout despite the weather predictions. Many proud
owners paraded their dogs on the stage for the various categories. A lot of fun was had by all. The grand prize winner was awarded to the heroic and faithful companion Cheyenne with owner, Paulette. Heroic because when Paulette suffered a fall on a construction site, Cheyenne went and got help for her. Paulette says that if it weren't for Cheyenne, she wouldn't be here today. I don't think there was a
dry eye in the place when Cheyenne was awarded Best in Show.

This year proved to be much like the rest as we received some really adorable photos. The winners are displayed in this collage of the submitted photos arranged by Joanne Paino. The owners of those winners are as follows:
1st Place: Daughter of Peter Malone & Michelle Summers of Oswego
2nd Place: Alesia Johnson of Oswego
3rd Place: Jodi Simmons of Hannibal
4th Place: Benny & Carolyn
Michalski of Oswego
5th Place tie: Siobhan Rodrigues of Fulton and Kathleen Harris of Oswego

One of our foster kitties did go to her new permanent home from the adoption event. There were many people interested in the work that we do and stopped to chat with our volunteers. We always feel that even if we don't adopt anyone out at these events, we've at least made people aware of who we are as as organization and how much we depend on the donations from the public. We'd like to thank Petsmart for making these adoption events possible for us to attend. They are great people and so very helpful. We've been invited back for their spring adoption event, so we'll be there will lots of kitties (probably some dogs)and bells on!

Well the weather didn't exactly cooperate for our walk, but some hardcore people came out with their dogs anyway. We'd really like to thank each and every one of you who braved the cold wind to help our cause. A fun time was had and a nice brisk walk was taken by some pretty great pups. |

Our gala was a success! We'd like to thank all that came out and joined in the fun. We'd also like to thank all of the local businesses, crafters and artists that donated items for our auction and also those that baked for our bake sale. Those goodies were bought up pretty early on in the day! Most importantly, we'd like to express our appreciation to all of our volunteers who worked so hard to make this event the success that it was. We couldn't do it without you. |
